The ETIAS system will automatically check applicant data against various international security databases, such as Interpol, Europol, and SIS. While most applications are approved within minutes, some may require more time, with a maximum response time of 96 hours.
Upon approval, the applicant will receive an email containing the travel authorization and the corresponding QR code, which must be presented during the trip.
